During our Market Salary/ Job Equity survey, our CAO has decided that he will withhold COLA increments and any negotiated increments if a position is outside of the identified salary range.
Is there any legal position with regards to denying COLA?
We have no agreement to do such.
Is my employer allowed to Deny the Cost of Living if my salary is Red Circled?
Nope. Company policy on cost of living would only be subject to government interfernce if you are a union member, and maybe not even then.
Talk to the Labor relations board if you want more.
