Average income of physicians?

I've found websites that give average income for a certain job, but some of the information seems to be wrong. I'm sure there is someone out there who can verify this. What I want to know is: What are some of the highest paid physicians?

Here are the sites:

http://www.allied-physicians.com/salary_...

http://www.studentdoc.com/salaries.html

http://www.physicianssearch.com/physicia...

All of these websites have radiology as one of the five highest, and all of them say radiologists make more on average than cardiologists. Which I find strange because I have a few relatives taht are physicians and they all seem to think that cardiologists make a good bit more than radiologists.

I would like to know, are these survays fairly accurate? In particular, I would like to know if anyone knows how accurate they are about radiology. I would really appreciate if anyone could post a website that lists all physicians and average income.

Thank you.

Average income of physicians?
These are surveys, so they are going to give you a range. But physician compensation is highly variable. A good deal depends on area of the country they practice in. Some have high pay, but very high malpractice premiums. Also, how doctors are "paid" really varies by the type of practice. i.e. solo practitioner, group practice, employed (like Kaiser), etc. They can have a base salary (which may be what is reported in these surveys) but they can have teaching stipends, risk pools, incentives, etc.

Here in northern California, orthopedists and neurosurgeons seem to command the highest compensation.

Surveys are a good place to start, but don't tell the whole story.

But if you're going for radiology, become an interventionalist--they rake in the dough, like $250-300k depending on experience.
Reply:It depends on the type of physician and if there in a private practice or hospital.
Reply:I've always heard that Anesthesiologists are among the highest paid doctors. Sorry this isn't exactly what you asked but, since you seem to be looking for a specialty based on pay, I thought you might want to check it out.
Reply:Go to ask.com and type in what is the average imcome of the job you put down they should either tell you or give you a website to find out your answer. Good Luck! :)
Reply:about 100.00 a week or 2 weeks
