How much do high school teachers get paid in Canada?

And do they get paid summers? And about how much does a department head make? and i've heard you can upgrade by taking a couple of courses, which also results in a salary increase? please let me know, i'm surveying for a friend who's very much interested in becoming a high school teacher, but wants to make sure it's a job that can offer her stability and still be able to enjoy her more expensive interests. Thanks :)

How much do high school teachers get paid in Canada?
I dunno about rest of the country but in Alberta public teachers make roughly $60 000 - $70 000. This varies though, based on experience.

Teachers at private schools get paid more.

Firstly, your friend shouldnt get into teaching for the money. If he likes this profession only.

But teachers salaries are always going up, because they always debate with the school boards, and often go on strike,.
Reply:60,000$ to 90,000$ would be my guess.
Reply:Ur Gonna Start Out $35,000 - 45,000 Canadian, Then As U Get More Years Under Ur Belt Ull Work Ur Way Up 2 $65,00 And That About The Max, They R Really under Paid.
