Just a survey:What did u do with ur first salary?
Spent it on make up and other girlie stuff.

Reply:since my first wage came to £4.50 and 50 pence was then deducted for the first payment towards safety shoes ... I didn't go wild and paint the town red , especially as I had promised to give my mother £5 towards my keep !

Reply:My mom made me put it in the bank so I couldn't spend it .
Reply:bought a bus pass for the week 6.00 pounds, paid 15 housekeeping and was left with 4 pounds, what could I buy with that?, I was on a YTS ( youth training scheme) 25 years ago.
Reply:payed the rent and council tax, did the shopping and saved the rest ... would have like to have blown the lot on clothes and shoes............ but my little people come first...
Reply:Many many years ago now. I bought some sweets for mum, ciggies for dad and spent the rest on myself but I cant remember what...it was only about £11 though.

Reply:gave some to the parents,then went to the pub head held high cos i was now a man and could afford to buy a round.unfortunatly out of the four people who were in that round i was the only lightweight and threw up after the 3rd round,took the next day off work due to a hangover and got fired 2 days later!

Reply:I was married while attending college and after leaving college I started a small business that didn't do well. I was forced to close it down and I was almost penniless when I got my first job. I was literally down to our last fistful of coins when I got my first pay. I remember it very clearly, I left some of the pay money for my wife so that she will continue to have food, and I took some of it with me as I had to travel on the job. That was a long, long time ago but I still know how it feels.

Reply:It was a fiver(i was on working pupil thing) bought some ciggies and paid my dad his petrol money as he took me and collected me each day!!xx

Reply:lol, can't remember cuz i had 1st pay cheque when i was 14 and in my 30's now. i kinda remember buying albums, little tv and tv stand for my room, rock t-shirts %26amp; buttons, all those 80's stuff.

Reply:I've never been salaried but my first wage was 25 pounds training allowance when I was 17 and on Springboard, I gave half to my parents and probably wasted the other half.
